This is live now. You can split a video on the timeline and remove any section, not just trim the start and the end. Preview the cut before you save, and restore anything you change your mind about. Your original is always recoverable.

I would LOVE to be able to edit/trim videos beyond just the beginning and end. I was able to find a workaround by editing and merging multiple videos together, but not a great experience for myself of the person watching the videos. If nothing else, being able to upload multiple additional videos to one video would be a fine enough workaround.
